Warranty & Ring Care

Each ring is built to the highest standards with the most robust materials available, but every product/material has its limits. Please review the following information to understand your warranty coverage, avoid damage to your ring, and proper care for extended ring life:

Warranty Coverage - Limited Lifetime Warranty

The Big Dark Ring Company warrants that each ring will be free from defects in material and workmanship under a limited lifetime warranty. Warranty begins on the date of the first retail purchase of the product.

Warranty Limitations: Limitations to the limited lifetime warranty does not include size changes due to weight gain/loss, scratches or damages occurred due to abuse, exposure to harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners/materials, deliberate or accidental deformation, abnormal behavior exposing the ring to damage, or loss of the ring.

If you need to file a warranty claim, please email: thebigdarkringco@gmail.com

  • Include photos of the damage/defect.
  • A description of the damage (sometimes photos are not clear).
  • Your order number (this will be in your order confirmation email).

 Ring Care

All rings available on this site are made with marine-grade epoxy and any wood is sealed with the same epoxy. This means they are designed to withstand harsh environments such as salt water and extended UV exposure, but as mentioned in our warranty, everything has its limits. To ensure the longevity of your ring avoid the following:

  • Abrasive materials: Anything in every day life that can scratch your ring (Example: sand, workout equipment handles, concrete countertops, etc.)
  • Abrasive or exfoliating soaps: Sourced from auto parts stores or beauty shops, these soaps typically have an abrasive agent that will damage the ring clear coat.
  • Harsh chemicals: Typically falls into the category of in the garage or under the sink (Example: drain cleaners, acetone, paint thinners, etc.).
  • Excessive heat: We are not talking a hot day at the park or leaving your ring in the car, we are talking about an unlivable amount if heat. This means don't place your ring on a hot stove/heater, drop it in a boiling pot of spaghetti, run it through a high heat dryer, etc.
